This knowledgebase article will describe the fix for viewing the PCSO-hosted CrimeView webpage. This is a legacy application and requires setting up the Microsoft Edge browser to display the page in Internet Explorer mode (IE-mode).
This involves the following:
- Having Silverlight installed on the computer
- Within the "Default Browser" in the Settings menu, setting the "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode..." to "Allow"
- Adding the Crimeview website URL to the "Internet Explorer mode pages" list
- This will need to be done every 30 days!
The video below demonstrates how to enable IE-mode in Edge and add the Crimeview page to the allowed list.
